NFAT stands for National Forensic Admission Test. It is an entrance examination conducted by the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) in India. The NFAT exam is to assess the knowledge and aptitude of individuals seeking admission into forensic science programmes or courses offered by NFSU. Students can apply to a number of courses like Forensic Science, Cyber Security & Digital Forensics, Behavioral Sciences, Forensic Psychology, Management Studies, Police Science & Security Studies, Forensic Justice & Policy Studies, Medico-legal studies & Law and Doctoral Studies & Research and more through NFSU entrance exam.
NFAT serves as a qualifying examination for Integrated PG, PG, and PG Diploma programmes at NFSU. These programmes may include disciplines such as forensic science, including crime scene investigation, forensic pathology, forensic chemistry, forensic biology, digital forensics, and more. It helps evaluate the readiness of candidates and their understanding of the field. There are 10 campuses of NFSU in cities like New Delhi, Raipur, Pune, Guwahati, Manipur, Goa, Gandhinagar, Dharwad, Agartala and Bhopal. The 11th campus is proposed to be opened at Nagpur.
