NTA released the eligibility criteria of UGC NET 2024 along with the official notification. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria can appear for the UGC NET 2024 exam. UGC NET 2024 Educational Qualification

• 55% marks in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from institutions/universities recognized by UGC in subjects like Computer Science &Applications Humanities, Social Science, Electronic Science, etc.   
• 50% marks in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination for Scheduled Caste(SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/ persons with disability(PwD) and Other Backward Classes(OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer.
• Candidates who are Ph.D. degree holders and completed their Master’s level examination and waiting for the declaration of the result are eligible with 5% relaxation in aggregate marks (i.e.  55% to 50%).
• Candidates with master’s degree or those who are appearing in their final year of master’s exam or those who are waiting for their results can apply for this exam. However, candidates have to pass their master’s degree to be considered eligible for the award of Junior Research Fellowship/Eligibility for Assistant Professor.    
• Candidates who have done post-graduate diploma/ Institute or foreign degree/certificate awarded by the foreign.
• University/diploma/certificate awarded by Indian University must check their ascertain the equivalence of their diploma/degree certificate with Master’s degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of  Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.

UGC NET 2024  Age limit

• Candidates must be 31 years to be eligible for Junior Research Fellowship. However, this is just applicable for this session only. 
• There is no upper age limit for Assistant Professor.

Candidates applying for TANCET MBA 2024 were required to fulfill the eligibility criteria of TANCET for MBA prescribed by Anna University, the exam-conducting body. Those with any bachelor’s degree and who have scored a minimum of 50% marks and 45% in the reserved category can apply for TANCET MBA 2024. The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in one of the following categories:

• 10+3 years Diploma +3 years pattern or
• 10+2+3/4/5 years pattern
• B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Pharm 
• 10+3-year diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE
  • 10+2 + AMIE

Age Limit

• Candidates should be at least 18 years of age to appear for the entrance test. There is no upper age limit for TANCET MBA

Who is not eligible to apply?

The following candidates are not eligible for TANCET MBA 2024:

• Candidates who have obtained their BE/ BTech degree through distance learning.
• Candidates with a degree obtained without studying class 10th, 12th, or a 3 years degree programme.
• Candidates with lateral entry admissions in all courses except BTech/ BE and MCA.
• Candidates who are in the final year of professional courses such as AMIE.

The UGC NET application form correction window 2024 was activated on May 21, 2024 and closed on May 23, 2024. The conducting board closed the UGC NET 2024 application form on May 19, 2024 (Extended date) at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The UGC NET application was released on April 20, 2024 on the official website. While doing the UGC NET 2024 registration, candidates should keep all necessary documents along with them.

How to fill UGC NET 2024 Application Form 

1st Stage: UGC NET Registration - 

• Candidates need to register for the exam by furnishing the details like name, email- id, mobile number, date of birth, gender, address, etc., 
• After the submission of these details, candidates will have to choose a password of their choice and select a security question with an answer and click on the submit button.
• UGC NET 2024 application number will be sent to the registered mobile number and email after the successful completion of the registration process.

2nd Stage: Filling out the UGC NET Application Form - Candidates have to select a subject, exam centre, category, educational details, and other important details without any mistakes.

3rd Stage: Uploading Required Documents - Applicants will be required to upload scanned images of photographs and signatures as per the prescribed format.

UGC NET Document Format:

4th Stage: UGC NET 2024 Application Fee Payment - Candidates can pay the application fee in online mode through SBI /Syndicate/HDFC /ICICI Payment Gateway (Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking/Paytm).

The TANCET MBA question pattern has been specified by Anna University and the exam is conducted in offline mode for a duration of two hours. As per the TANCET exam pattern for MBA, the total number of questions is 100 and each correct answer carries 1 mark. However, there will be negative marking and 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates must also keep in mind that in case they have marked wrong answers, 1/3 marks will be deducted for that too.

NTA opened the UGC NET answer key challenge window on September 11, 2024 on the official website for the exams conducted on August 27, 28, 29, 30, 2024 and September 2, 3, 4, 5, 2024. Candidates can challenge the UGC NET 2024 answer key until September 14, 2024. Candidates were able to challenge the UGC NET provisional answer key until September 9, 2024. Anna University will release TANCET final answer key on March 28. Earlier, authorities has released the TANCET MBA 2024 answer key in online mode on March 13. The answer key has been released by the authorities so that candidates can match their responses and check if any of them are incorrect. In case there is any discrepancy, candidates can also challenge the TANCET MBA 2024 answer key within the time period allotted for doing the same. UGC NET cutoff is of two types - subject-wise cut-off marks and qualifying marks are mentioned by NTA in the notification. General category candidates have to score at least 40% marks while reserved category candidates (OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PWD, and transgenders) have to score a minimum of 35% marks in both papers. These minimum qualifying marks are applicable to candidates appearing for eligibility of Assistant Professors as well as JRF. 

The cut-off of UGC NET is released by NTA separately for candidates who qualify for Lectureship and JRF. The UGC NET 2024 cut-off shows the category-wise and subject-wise cut off marks along with the total number of qualified candidates who have appeared for each subject in all categories.
