Delhi University admission is one of the most awaited events for the students who wish to pursue their higher studies from the prestigious colleges of the university. The admission process of Delhi university for PG programmes began on July 26 and within the starting 15 minutes, around 4,500 visitors logged on to the admission portal. This speaks about the magnitude of the popularity amongst the student fraternity and how many aspirants look forward to Delhi University and consider it as a prospect for higher studies.

The University of Delhi offers admission to postgraduate programmes through an entrance test, known as Delhi University entrance test (DUET). The DU PG registration process has already begun and will be available till August 21. On the other hand, the DU admission for UG courses is done with the help of the cut off lists based on the Class 12th marks. Delhi University’s “Best of four” calculation is the methodology used to prepare the DU cut off lists taking into consideration the highest marks in the four subjects.

The DU application form 2021 will be released on August 2, except for the St. Stephen’s College, which will kickstart the registration process three days later, on August 5. The last date of DU 2021 registration for UG programmes will be August 31.

DU Admission 2021: Most Important Points

The Delhi University is organising virtual open days for the DU aspirants from July 27 to July 30. It is also being telecasted live on DU's official Facebook and YouTube channels.
The DUET exam 2021 for all postgraduate programmes and few undergraduate programmes will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The university has decided to make no changes on the DU eligibility criteria and the fees structure this year to benefit the students.
Non-Net qualified candidates have to appear for the DUET examination to take admissions to PhD and MPhil programmes.
The Delhi University has increased the total number of DUET test centres to 27 including Amritsar, Cuttack, Dehradun, Lucknow, Raipur, Shillong and Shimla.
Delhi University entrance test 2021 will be held for 12 UG courses this year.
The DU 2021 admission process will be completely online. Candidates do not have to visit the campuses for any admission purpose.
Delhi University has created a chat bot and helpdesk for helping out the students in the admission process related queries.

DU Registration 2021

The Delhi University registration 2021 for UG programmes will begin on August 2 at du.ac.in. The last date to register for DU UG admission 2021 will be August 31. The interested candidates can visit the official website of University of Delhi and fill the application form before the submission deadline. The mode of application is only online. DU Best of Four Calculation

The cut off of DU is calculated on the basis of Delhi University’s best of four calculation. These four subjects include two subjects from list A, one language subject and one relevant subject. Last year, the Delhi University had withdrawn the policy for the candidates who wish to change their stream and apply for the BA programme. There is no deduction of 5% marks from the total aggregate of the best of four marks. Students opting for BA Hons Economics must have studied mathematics as one of the subjects in the class 12th.

DU Cut Off 2021

The Delhi University affiliated colleges are expected to release the DU 2021 cutoff between September 7 and 10. The Delhi University cut offs are released both on the official website of the individual colleges and the DU’s website. Around 8-9 DU cut offs will be released by the DU colleges to offer seats in the merit based admission programmes. Last year, Delhi University had the highest cut off percentage of 100. This year also, the DU cut off is expected to be high as Delhi University is expecting huge applications this year too. The candidates who qualify the DU cut off marks have to complete the online documentation process and pay the required admission fees.
